What I Carry Vignette
I carry with me on the outside my phone, a small white & black rectangle piece of electronic filled with pictures, messages, and bringing music to my ears. Memories.
Clothes with my own sense of style making me a peacock walking with confidence with its beautiful feathers big and bright.
Makeup that covers what I feel on the inside. Hiding my tears, deepest secrets, and stories. Make up that with a hot pink lipstick can turn my frown upside down like BAM.
On the inside I bring my family with me. The ones that I can count on, that make me smile as bright as the sun shinning early in the morning through a bad day.
I bring with me my past, knowing where and what I came from. Forgiving but never forgetting.
Description: We read a book called "SOLD" by Patricia McCormick. Her story was told in a series of vignettes. In one of them she explained what she carried on the inside mentally and what she carried on the outside physically. That vignette inspired us to make our own explaining in literary devices what we carry.
